Who is This Retreat For?
This weekend is for neurodivergent young adults (ages 18–29) who want help building real-life skills, meaningful connection, and space to just be themselves. Whether you’re navigating ADHD, Autism, OCD, Anxiety, Tourettes, Dyslexia, or a combination of these, this weekend is built to meet you where you are and help you deepen your knowledge and skills to live the life you want to.
Your Space. Your Choice.
This retreat isn’t about changing who you are. It’s about embracing it.
Too often, neurodivergent folks are told to mask, to fit in, or to be more “normal.” But you don’t need to be changed. You need to be understood, empowered, and supported in building a life that works for you.
This retreat is all about autonomy. You choose what activities you want to attend. You take breaks when you need to. You pick your meals from several homecooked options. Nothing is required, and you are free to come and go as you please.
Craft your ideal weekend. Fill it with hands-on learning, quiet moments to recharge, or a mix of both!

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a Third Space?
A Third Space is the space in your life that isn’t home (your first space) or school/work (your second space). It’s somewhere in between. A place where you don’t have to perform, mask, or meet anyone else’s expectations. It’s a space where you can just be yourself, build community, and feel like you truly belong – because you do!
What can I expect at the retreat?
The retreat is led by Dr. Rachelle Hansen (a psychologist and specialist in neurodevelopmental disorders) and a team of therapists, coaches, and clinicians. All activities are optional and you will always have a say in what you do and do not want to do! There will also be 1:1 support available throughout the weekend.
You’ll chose from hands-on, real-world classes like:
- Master Your Time Without Burning Out
- Spend and Save Money Minus the Shame
- Build Healthier, More Real Relationships (Romantic & Platonic)
- Handle Stress Before It Handles You
- Feel Better About Food & Feeding Yourself
- Calm Your Mind Without Sitting Still for an Hour
Plus so much more!
Logistics & Settings
What are the retreat dates and where is it located?
October 15–18, 2026 at a private retreat home in the Twin Cities. The exact location will be shared closer to the retreat.
What’s the retreat space like?
The home has 6 cozy bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, vibrant shared spaces, arcade games, ping pong, and more!
How many people will be there?
We want to make sure to keep this group small to better support each individual! There will be no more than 8 attendees and 4 staff onsite.
Can I come alone? Will I be expected to socialize?
Many attendees come alone! Socializing is encouraged but completely optional. There are private, and quiet spaces available for each attendee and you can choose how much you engage.
Can a parent, guardian, or other trusted adult come with me to the retreat?
You can certainly have a trusted adult stop by for extra support throughout the weekend! We only ask that if they plan on staying overnight with you that you purchase an additional ticket to cover their lodging and food expenses.
What if I have sensory sensitivities or need accommodations?
Do I have to stay overnight to attend the retreat?
Nope! You’re welcome to head home at night and return each morning if that feels better for you.
Please note, to make sure each attendee has access to a private space to use during the day to rest and recharge, the ticket price will remain the same whether or not you sleep over.
Will there be staff at the retreat home at all times?
What if I live out of state?
Rooms, Meals & Daily Flow
What are the room options and how are they assigned?
- Single rooms have queen or king beds.
- The rooms will be assigned with care and individual needs and preferences in mind.
Do I have to do everything?
You can participate in as much or as little of the available activities as you want. No class or activity is required, and you are free to come and go as you please.
What kind of food will be served?
Meals will mostly be a buffet style of “build your own” so you can have autonomy over what you want to eat at every meal! There will also be back up freezer meals in case what is on the menu does not feel good to you. All participants will also be asked for any dietary allergies, restrictions, and preferences so we can ensure the food we offer feels good to everyone!
Can I make dietary requests?
We are happy to accommodate all dietary restrictions and requests, but please note we will be cooking in a shared kitchen so we cannot guarantee the total absence of any allergens.
