This assessment is designed for individuals who want a deeper understanding of how their brain works, particularly in areas related to executive function, attention, learning, and cognitive processing.
LifeFx offers a comprehensive neurocognitive and psychoeducational assessment using evidence-based tools commonly found in full neuropsychological evaluations. These assessments look at patterns related to ADHD, learning differences, and executive function challenges such as planning, organization, working memory, attention, and processing speed.
Each assessment includes:
- Comprehensive testing using standardized measures
- A detailed written report
- A feedback meeting with a licensed clinical psychologist to review results and recommendations
Because LifeFx is not a medical facility, we do not provide formal diagnoses. Instead, the psychologist will explain whether results show patterns or markers consistent with ADHD or other learning differences and what those findings mean in everyday life. For many individuals and families, this provides the clarity they are looking for without requiring a medical diagnosis.
Why No Diagnosis?
LifeFx is not a medical facility, so we do not assign formal diagnoses.
Instead, our assessments focus on understanding how a person thinks, learns, and functions, and on providing clear, practical insight into executive function strengths and challenges.
For individuals who want or need a formal diagnosis, we offer a clear next step. LifeFx partners with Stepping Stone Clinic, where a diagnostic evaluation can be completed.
Many families appreciate having the option to:
- Gain insight first
- Decide later whether a formal diagnosis is necessary
- Maintain privacy if they do not want a diagnosis on record
Pathway to Diagnosis (If Desired)
Step 1: Complete the Neurocognitive and Psychoeducational Assessment at LifeFx
The individual completes the assessment and receives a full written report, along with a feedback meeting with a licensed clinical psychologist. This provides a clear understanding of cognitive strengths, executive function challenges, and patterns consistent with ADHD or learning differences.
Step 2: Decide Whether to Pursue Diagnosis
After reviewing results, the individual or family can decide whether a formal diagnosis would be helpful. There is no obligation to move forward. Many people pause here and use the information to guide coaching, school support, or next steps
Step 3: Schedule a Diagnostic Evaluation
If a formal diagnosis is requested, LifeFx can help coordinate an appointment with Stepping Stone Clinic, our partner psychology clinic.
Step 4: Diagnostic Determination
The provider at Stepping Stone Clinic reviews the LifeFx assessment results as part of the diagnostic process and determines whether diagnostic criteria are met. If appropriate, a formal diagnosis is provided and documented in the medical record. This takes place in one 50 minute session and can be conducted virtually or in-person.

Is this a “real” assessment?

Why would someone choose this instead of a diagnostic evaluation?
Some individuals or families want insight and practical guidance without placing a formal diagnosis on record. Others want to understand their options before deciding on a medical route.
Is this covered by insurance or eligible for HSA/FSA reimbursement?
No. This service is paid out-of-pocket and is not billed to insurance. While some families choose to submit their itemized invoice to an HSA or FSA administrator for possible reimbursement, approval varies by plan and is not guaranteed. Most families should expect to pay out-of-pocket.
To help make this more accessible, LifeFx offers payment plans. We require 50% of the assessment fee to be paid prior to the assessment, with the remaining balance due before the formal written report is released. We are always happy to talk through payment options and do our best to make this work for families.
What is the cost of the assessment?
The total fee for the assessment is $2,463. Payment plans are available.
